Dec 14 2021 | by Kimberly Bowman, MS, CNP

Way to go Challengers! With the end of C34, F45 HQ would like to say a big thank you to our charity partners–The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Movember for making this such a memorable Challenge. We’d also like to say congratulations to all Challengers for your dedication and commitment to the F45 Challenge program. Your participation in our Challenge for a Cause initiative has been outstanding and together we’ve been able to raise funding for two incredible non-profit organizations.

C34 Challenge for a Cause Final Donations

Our two F45 ambassadors represented the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (Team Morgan) and Movember (Team Johry) as team captains for each non-profit organization. After registering for the F45 Challenge, selecting a team captain (Morgan or Johry), and powering it out at your local F45 studio, we’ve helped raise funding for each charity. As part of our C34 Challenge for a Cause initiative, F45 HQ has made a final charitable contribution to each team’s non-profit organization (BCRF or Movember) based upon the total number of total studio check-ins per team.

F45 HQ C34 Final Charitable Donation Amounts:

This was our second Challenge for a Cause initiative this year and with the dedication of our F45 community we’re so proud to have been able to support these two incredible non-profit organizations. Give yourself a pat on the back for not only crushing this final Challenge of the year but for also making a positive difference, globally.

Your Challenge participation has provided funding to generate new research for breast cancer, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer while supporting each organization in generating new fundraising initiatives. Read below to learn more about the positive, worldwide impact of each non-profit organization and how you can continue to support their mission.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide and in the US alone, 1 in 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is the highest rated nonprofit organization in the US committed to achieving the prevention and cure of breast cancer. They have provided critical funding to advance cancer research in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, metastasis, and survivorship. In 2021-2022, BCRF will award $47.5 million in annual grants to 250 scientists from top universities and medical institutions around the globe. Through BCRF’s grant program they have been able to continue to efficiently fuel new medical discoveries and interventions to effectively address all aspects of breast cancer. BCRF researchers are continuing to explore the molecules that make up a cancer cell, how and why it transitions from normal to abnormal and why tumors react differently to different treatments. Their efforts are giving us the knowledge to achieve both prevention and a cure. To learn more about this incredible nonprofit organization–visit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or make a donation. With the support of BCRF, you can start your own fundraiser or visit local events to connect with members of the BCRF community all while helping to raise money for breast cancer research. F45 HQ is proud to have been able to partner with the BCRF as part of our Challenge for a cause initiative–together we can continue to raise money for cancer research and make a difference in the lives of those battling breast cancer.
